The Madera South boys soccer team showed it’s ready for the upcoming County/Metro Athletic Conference (CMAC) season to start after a solid win over the Kerman Lions.
After a scoreless first half, the Stallions (10-6-2) were able to produce two goals Friday night in a shutout victory at Memorial Stadium.
Madera South received a goal each from Alberto Garin and Juan Gomez in the 2-0 win against a Div. IV Lion team from the North Sequoia League.
“Overall, this is what I’ve expected from Kerman,” Stallion head coach Cristino Armiento said. “I know the coach well and knew they didn’t have a strong team coming in but whenever we play them, they always give us a good game. It’s always a positive turnout and we learn a lot from playing them.”...
