With three games in a week, the Madera South Stallions were going to need a team effort.
The Stallions got another one Tuesday after picking up a North Yosemite League victory against Hoover-Fresno on Monday. The Stallions got contributions from back-ups Derrick Perez, Jordan Alvarez and J.J. Saavedra in a 5-1 victory over McLane-Fresno at Eddie Chapa Field.
Madera South’s bench also produced a run in the bottom of the sixth.
“There have been opportunities and the younger players and back-ups are seizing that opportunity,” head coach John Fernandez said. “That’s what you want at this time in the season.” ...
