Even the absence of their leading hitter didn’t affect the Madera South Stallions girls volleyball team in a 3-0 victory over the Kerman Lions.

JustineWilliams sustained a shoulder injury during Monday’s practice and didn’t suit up against the Lions on Tuesday. She wasn’t sure how long she was going to be out.

Her team didn’t miss a beat with a complete victory over the Lions. The Stallions outscored the Lions 75-35 in the three sets.

Four players had four kills in the match (Lilly Martinez, Alyssa Benevidez, Karen Teran and Andrina Rodriguez) and the Stallions served up 16 aces, including 10 from Rodriguez...
