When the Madera South girls soccer team faced Sanger, the Stallions were looking for a bit of redemption against an aggressive Apaches’ team that beat them in the first meeting of County/Metro Athletic Conference play.
Madera South (4-6, 4-5 CMAC) got its revenge Tuesday night as the Stallions won their third straight game in a 1-0 overtime victory over Sanger (12-8-1, 5-4 CMAC) on Senior Night in Memorial Stadium.
In overtime, the Stallions received a header goal from sophomore Jocelyn Salazar off an assist by freshman forward Sophia Zertuche.
