FRESNO — Scoring goals on the Madera South girls soccer team is now becoming a rarity for opponents.

For the third straight North Yosemite League game and fifth consecutive match overall, the Stallions didn’t allow a goal with their latest shutout coming Wednesday in a 4-0 victory at Roosevelt-Fresno.

The last time the Stallions surrendered a goal was in a 4-3 home loss to Clovis West on Jan. 4.

Madera South (6-6-1) was clinging to a one-goal halftime lead before putting three more past the Roosevelt keeper as the defending NYL champion Stallions improved to 3-0 in league play...
