While the Madera South boys and girls cross country teams didn’t win the Woodbridge-Estancia-Costa Mesa Classic, they did show Stallion head coach Rich Parris what they are made of through adversity.
There were plenty of challenges for both teams in the 34th largest high school invitational in the nation.
“It was our best combined performance from our varsity girls and varsity boys team that we’ve had,” Parris said.
“I think we showed our depth. We have some young kids that are quietly under the radar right now and are doing a lot of good work and making things happen. It’s exciting.” ...
