Stallions place second in NYL

On the backs of Jayna Harford and Haley Collins, the Madera South Stallion girls swim team placed second at the North Yosemite League championships Saturday at Madera South.

Collins won the 200 freestyle event and placed second in the 100 freestyle, 400 freestyle relay and 200 freestyle relay.

Harford picked up second place finishes in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle.

“We did really good, especially the girls,” head coach Chris Ross said. “We placed second, which is the best in school history. We got strong performances from Jayna and Haley, but also got really good performances from Tara Harford, Amy Potter, Alyssa Roberts and Erin Lara.” ...
