Stallions outlast Coyotes

In the battle ofMadera, Part 1, both the Madera Coyotes and the Madera South Stallion boys basketball teamd had their chance to claim basketball supremacy in Madera in the final game of the first round of the County/Metro Athletic Conference.

Madera South got a Juwan Cummings layup with seven seconds left to force overtime on Wednesday Madera’s Sonny West drained an off-balanced, banked 3- pointer with three seconds left to force double overtime.

In the end, it was Madera South’s Adriano Coronado’s 3-pointer with a little more than two minutes left in the second overtime that gave Madera South a lead it wouldn’t relinquish. Madera South made seven of 10 free throws in the final minute to hold onto a 66-61 victory over Madera at Madera South.
