When the Yosemite-Oakhurst Badgers girls volleyball players walked into Madera South’s East Gym, many people looked at the team and were in awe of its height, especially 6-2 junior Taylor Burrall.
It’s a good thing the game is played on the court and not by the looks of the team.
The Madera South Stallions rode tough, aggressive serving for a 3-0 sweep Thursday night, outscoring Yosemite by a combined 75-46 score.
“We served tough and played great defense,” head coach Nate Perez said. “That’s been our motto for a couple of years. We were able to do that to get them off the net and get some free ball opportunities.” ...
