Stallions lose to Sanger on Senior Night

After the Madera South football team shut down Sanger on its first two possessions of the game, it appeared the Stallion defense clearly studied and was ready for the Apaches’ wing-T offense.

But it was Sanger quarterback Ryan Ramirez that provided the offensive spark Friday as the Apaches (7-2, 3-1 CMAC) ruined Madera South’s Senior Night in a 42-7 win at Memorial Stadium. 

While Ramirez rushed for 102 yards and scored two touchdowns in the game, it was his first carry that went for 50 yards to the Madera South 4-yard line that triggered Sanger’s scoring avalanche. 

Elijah Shufford’s 3-yard touchdown run was the start of a 42-0 run that led to a running clock in the fourth quarter...
