FRESNO — Facing the HooverFresno girls basketball team, Madera South ran into two problems — turnovers and last season’s North Yosemite League Player of the Year in Miyah Rollins.
Both were detrimental to the Stallions in a 59-36 loss Wednesday to the Patriots in the NYL opener on Jacobsen Court at Hoover High.
Rollins scored a game-high 18 points while numerous turnovers in the third quarter by the Stallions turned a 10-point halftime lead by Hoover (8-7) into a 30-point deficit for Madera South (5-12).
