After suffering a loss to Kerman in the season opener, the Madera South football team immediately shifted its attention to the Liberty Hawks, and for good reason.
The Hawks are the defending Div. V Central Section champions and are coming off a 12-1 season, which included a 38-0 win over the Div. III Stallions in Week 2 of last season.
“There’s no mystery that we’re focusing on the Hawks right now — they’re a defending section champion and we didn’t win a game last year,” Stallion head coach Scott Donegan said.
