Stallions host Edison in league play tonight

A week after facing a Bullard-Fresno team that is now finding its stride a year after reaching the Division I section finals for the second time in three seasons, the Madera South football team has to take on another storied program.

In only their second County/Metro Athletic Conference game, the Stallions (0-6, 0-1) will play Edison-Fresno (3-3, 0-1) tonight with kickoff set for 7:30 at Memorial Stadium.

Both teams are coming off league-opening losses last Friday night, including a 59-0 loss to the Knights for the Stallions while Sanger upset the Tigers, 35-29.

Led by blue-chip senior quarterback Khari McGee and new head coach Ricky Manning, Edison came into the season as one of the heavy favorites to contend for a section title after finishing 10-2 and reaching the Division I semifinals last season...
