The Madera South Stallions used small ball to score two runs in the third and fourth innings to hold off a late Reedley Pirate charge for a North Yosemite League victory.
The Stallions hope to carry the momentum into the spring break, when they will head to San Diego to take part in the 62nd Lions Invitational, beginning today.
“The kids have earned this break,” head coach John Fernandez said. “They worked really hard to be able to play in this tournament, which is really strong.”
