Even though the Madera South Stallion boys soccer team defeated the HooverFresno Patriots 5-1 in the first meeting, the Stallions didn’t have it easier in the second one.
The Stallions (9-6-3, 5-1, North Yosemite League) got a goal in both the first and second halves for a 2-0 victory Thursday in Memorial Stadium.
“Hoover had four different people in the lineup we didn’t see in the first match,” head coach Cristino Armiento said. “That’s a compliment to us because it means teams will come at us with their best.”
