Stallions, Hawks, Coyotes host first round matches

The CIF Central Section announced volleyball and water polo seedings Friday and three of the four teams entered earned home playoff games.

The Madera Coyote girls water polo team earned their highest seed in Division II. They earned the No. 3 seed in the playoffs and will begin in the quarterfinals, hosting No. 6 seed Exeter, who was the final seed in the playoffs on Nov. 10.

Hanford West earned the top seed and San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno was the second seed.

In the Division I playoffs, the Coyotes girls volleyball team earned the No. 13 seed. They were hoping for a seed to keep them closer to home, but will travel to No. 4 seed Centennial-Bakersfield on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match...
