The Madera South Stallions used an overtime goal to grab the top spot in the North Yosemite League.
The Stallions (9-6-3, 4-1 NYL) finished the first half of the NYL atop the standings after a 3-2 overtime victory over the Reedley Pirates on Wednesday.
“It came down for us tied for first with them,” head coach Cristino Armiento said. “It gives us a chance to relax on a game. We will play them in the last game that will probably decide the league title.”
