While starting off a season with three straight losses may have been a major concern for most teams, Madera South boys basketball head coach Jody Sharp wouldn’t allow his players to panic.
Instead, the Stallions regrouped from the 0-3 start and finished off the Madera South Classic with two straight victories including a big 62-44 win Saturday over Orosi and a 58-52 Friday triumph against Tulare.
“It’s nice when you end up getting wins especially after you don’t feel like you played very well in the games before,” Sharp said. “It always helps (winning) but we still have a long way to go. It’s just a situation where you’re looking to get that first ‘W’ and hopefully you can start on a roll and get some momentum going your way.”
