FRESNO — The Madera South Stallion girls volleyball team turned up the intensity in the third set, but the first two sets put the Stallions behind in a non-league matchup with the Hoover-Fresno Patriots.
The Patriots took advantage of enough Madera South errors for a 25-16, 25-13, 25-22 victory Thursday at the Hoover Event Center.
“We tried to work on the adjustments we made in practice yesterday and didn’t execute them to the best of our ability,” Madera South head coach Nate Perez said. “The big concern for me was our lack of intensity. We gave up on a lot of effort plays.”
