FRESNO — After the Central-Fresno Grizzlies took a 10-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning Tuesday, the Madera South Stallion baseball team could have folded its tent and gone home to stay out of the cold and wind.
However, the Stallions fought hard the rest of the way, scoring seven runs with seven hits to put a scare into the Grizzlies in a 10-7 loss at the Central Baseball Classic at Central.
“We showed some resiliency today,” head coach John Fernandez said. “They could have folded. We were prepared to fight.”
