The Madera South Stallions girls volleyball team looked to be cruising to a victory after a dominant first set victory, but the Edison-Fresno Tigers won the deciding fifth set to complete a season sweep.

After winning the first set, the Stallions dropped the next two sets before coming back to win the fourth set, 25-20.

The Tigers scored the last three points of the match for a 15-11 victory in the fifth set for a 3-2 win Tuesday at Madera South.

The Stallions dropped a five-set match with Edison in the first round of the County/Metro Athletic Conference, but couldn’t pull out a fifth set win Tuesday...
