FRESNO — In the first game of North Yosemite League play, it was turnovers and Hoover-Fresno guard Miyah Rollins that plagued the Madera South girls basketball team in a loss.
This time, it was free throw shooting and McLane-Fresno senior point guard Latique Walton that caused the Stallions to drop their second straight NYL game Friday night in a 42-36 road loss to the Highlanders.
While Madera South (5-13, 0-2) constantly attacked the McLane defense with drives to the basket led by senior guard Destiney Lee and her team-high 15 points, the Stallions as a team shot 13-for-28 from the free throw line.
