When it comes to playing in the County/Metro Athletic Conference for the Madera South football team, each week poses a new and difficult challenge for head coach Scott Donegan’s club.

After losing by 55 points last week in their conference opener to Bullard, which is considered one of the best overall athletic programs in the Central Section, the Stallions take on an even tougher opponent that is gunning for not only the Div. I section title but also a state playoff berth.

The Stallions (1-5, 0-1 CMAC) will travel to Fresno to face top-ranked Edison (6-0, 1-0) tonight at 7 at Sunnyside High School.

In only its second year in the league, Madera South has learned quickly that competing in the CMAC is not for the faint of heart...
