The Madera South Stallions looked to have things under control Tuesday in the season opener against Buhach Colony-Atwater, taking a 2-1 lead into the fifth inning.
However, Buhach Colony scored three runs in the fifth off ace Anthony Valley and added two more runs off Salvador Martinez for a 6-2 victory in the opening game of the Central Baseball Classic at Madera South.
“This was a disappointing start to the season,” head coach John Fernandez said. “Our approaches at the plate were off and our discipline at the plate was bad. It was just a poor performance on offense.”
