The Fresno Warriors jumped out to an 8-0 lead and held off a Madera South Stallion comeback to clinch a share of the North Yosemite League championship.
The Stallions came back to score seven runs in the final three innings, but it wasn’t enough in a 9-7 loss Friday at Eddie Chapa Field.
“We made mistakes and that made the difference in the ball game,” head coach John Fernandez said. “We weren’t the team today we have been in the past.”
