Stallions comeback falls short

When baseball teams in the County/Metro Athletic Conference face Madera South, teams can usually expect a dogfight from a program that is in its first year in the league.

That certainly was the case Tuesday when the Stallions (6-12, 1-5 CMAC) gave defending Div. I section champion Bullard-Fresno (10-11, 5-1) all it could handle in a 4-3 loss on Eddie Chapa Field.

“I think our team did really well against the defending Div. I champs,” Stallions head coach John Fernandez said. “These kids fight until the very end and that’s why I’m so proud of them. We’ve had a lot of tough one-run losses this season.”
