After battling through a tough pre-league schedule that saw the Madera South girls soccer team battle all five teams from the Tri-River Athletic Conference, the Stallions began their run at a third straight North Yosemite League championship against Hoover-Fresno.
Freshman attacker Leila Monzon recorded the team’s first hat trick (three goals) of the season in a dominating 3- 0 victory Wednesday in Memorial Stadium.
“Our possession in the second half was beautiful,” head coach Pat Evans said. “They played hard and with discipline.”
