Make it three North Yosemite League championships in a row for the Madera South girls soccer team.
The two-time defending NYL champion Stallions secured their third straight conference championship Friday evening with a 2-0 win over Reedley on Senior Night at Memorial Stadium.
Madera South (12-7-1) finished 9-1 in NYL play to share the league championship with McLane-Fresno.
“It was huge to get this win,” said second-year Madera South head coach Pat Evans. “We hadn’t been playing very well excluding the Roosevelt (Fresno) game but our girls said, ‘McLane may get part of the championship but they are not getting all of it.’”...
