Stallion boys ranked fifth in nation

When a team is considered the fifth best in the country in its respective sport, it’s no accident.

There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into earning that ranking.

So when XCnation.com —  a website that rates and reviews high school cross country programs across the nation— listed the Madera South boys cross country team as the fifth best Div. I team in the USA, Stallion head coach Rich Parris felt his young runners’ efforts (in practice and meets) along with those who have helped bring the program along aren’t going unnoticed.

“This is the highest our program has ever been ranked and we have a really young group,” Parris said. “It’s really exciting. We’re looking forward to this November just to see how far we can go in the season both boys and girls wise.” ...
