Stallion boys place second at Woodbridge

The Madera South Stallion boys cross country team made a statement Saturday at one of the largest cross country events in the nation.

The Stallions placed second in points and third on time, overall, at the WoodBridge-Estancia-Costa Mesa Cross Country Classic in Costa Mesa on Saturday.

The Stallions placed second in points behind Arcadia and third in time behind Arcadia and Long Beach Poly, though only six seconds behind Poly and a secnd ahead of Dos Pueblos.

“Our boys ran lights out,” head coach Rich Parris said. “We have never run that fast. They are for real. We set a school record at that meet. We have had individuals that have done well, but we have never had a team do that well.” ...
