Fresh off their 22-7 victory over the Chowchilla Redskins, the Liberty Hawks look to end the 2009 regular season Friday night with a victory over the 1-9 Coalinga Horned Toads.
The Hawks will hope to use the victory to catapult them into the Division V playoffs, which will begin next week with, hopefully, a high seed and a home game.
Coalinga could be one of the best 1-9 teams in the Central Section. Their opponents have a combined 53-37 record, including losses to 9-0 Kingsburg, 7-2 Taft and 7-2 Dinuba. The Horned Toads are quite young with 28 juniors and three sophomores on the roster.
The Hawks head into the game with a 5-4 record and a 3-2 record in the North Sequoia League. Their opponents have a combined 42-47 record.
