There was banner at the entrance to Memorial Stadium in Clovis Friday night that read, "You will never forget the night you played the Golden Eagles."
But if you were the visiting Madera Coyote football team, you wish you could. Oh, how you wish you could.
Behind the performance of Golden Eagles' star running back Kendal Brock, whose tremendous performance will likely send the Coyote defensive players into therapy at some time, Clovis West jumped out to a 35-0 half-time lead before applying the brakes in the second half to hand the Coyotes a 48-0 thumping.
The loss leaves the Coyotes alone in the Tri-River Athletic Conference cellar and 0-4 in league play while suffering their 12th straight TRAC loss and only their second shutout in the past six seasons.
