There were a lot of similarities in the Madera Coyotes boys' tennis team's two losses last week.
Both matches ended with a score of 7-2 and each of the two matches won by Madera came at the hands of Daniel Sheeter and Nick Cook.
Sheeter, who is undefeated in Tri-River Athletic Conference singles play, handily won the No.1 singles match Tuesday against Buchanan High by the score of 6-3, 6-3.
The balance of the Madera singles players lost their matches with Nick Cook pushing his opponent to a third set tiebreaker before losing.
Sheeter and Cook, who are undefeated in doubles play on the season, then teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles match 7-5, 6-3 before the Coyotes dropped the final two doubles matches.
Madera then hosted Clovis High Thursday in a match that was like deja vu as the Coyotes lost 7-2 with Sheeter picking up another win in the No.1 singles match 6-1, 6-2.
And after winning the first set in the No. 2 singles match, Cook was once again pushed to a tiebreaker set before dropping the match.
Sheeter and Cook then validated that they are going to be one of the favorites for a Valley doubles title as they won the No. 1 doubles match 7-6, 6-1.
