Speedway set for prime time

After an off-week, the Madera Speedway returns to action in a televised event on Saturday for the Lucas Oil Summertime Horsepower Nationals presented by Auto Chaser Magazine/Lucas Oil Modified Tour featuring Race No. 4 of the $1,000 to win Coors Light Open Late Model Series 100 laps (split 50s), Sports Mods, Hobby Stocks, MSTs, Toyota Sedans and 4-Bangers.

Racing fans will get a chance to view the short track action as it will be an MAV TV televised event. The event will run 75-laps for the MAV TV American Real series.

Thanks to the sponsorship from Madera Auto Center, adult ticket prices have been shaved from $25 to $15. Seniors and military are $13, youths 6-12 are $10 and kids five and under are free.

Grandstands open at 3 p.m. and pits open at noon. Racing begins at 6:25 p.m.
