With only three nights of racing left in the LoanMart Madera Speedway’s 2013 season, this Saturday’s docket of local and national drivers is expected to turn up the heat even as summer comes to an end.

Speedway owner Kenny Shepherd said the night’s doubleheader highlights — the LoanMart Open Late Model Series and the Legends of the Pacific — held the potential to be “the sleeper show of the season.”

“Coming off such a big show last weekend it’s a sleeper,” said Shepherd of last week’s two-night Harvest Classic. “I think it’s going to be the surprise event of the year because it’s going to feel like a big tour night with these two big tours.”
