In a game originally delayed by Friday’s storm, the Madera Coyote softball team must have switched its bats with umbrellas during the make-up game.
The Coyotes were blanked through the first four innings Monday before pushing over a pair of runs in the fifth for a 3-0 County/Metro Athletic Conference victory over the San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno Panthers at Zimmerman Field.
Madera had three hits in the first four innings and left six runners on base. Over the final two innings, the Coyotes banged out seven hits to score the three runs.
