Slagle takes checkered flag in night of chaos in Enduro Series

As is customary of Enduro Series races at the LoanMart Madera Speedway, Saturday night’s 200-lap main event was full of chaotic contact.

From backwards driving, vengeful wrecks, and huge water-barrel slams, the Mountain Man 200 gave fans more than their fair share of entertaining moments at the Speedway’s NRA night. Enduro races cover the track in water and fill barrels with soap and water for drivers to hit.

“It was wild,” said first-place finisher Rob Slagle. “I’m very excited about this win. We’re here all the time but now I’m finally in victory lane.”

Slagle led after an action-packed first half of the race in which several drivers appeared to be on a mission of vengeance...
