“Perfect.” That’s how Madera Coyote softball head coach Judy Shaubach described Friday afternoon’s 13-0 victory over the Sunnyside-Fresno Wildcats.
Pitcher Carissa McMillon struck out 11 batters en route to her first varsity perfect game. She retired 15 batters in a row and struck out eight of the first nine batters. On top of that, McMillon went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI.
The Coyotes won their third straight County/Metro Athletic Conference game with the victory over Sunnyside, which included a 10-run third inning.
