All four Madera South softball seniors played a part in a surprising come-from-behind victory over the Fresno Warriors on Tuesday on Senior Day.

Jessica Owen, Tiffany Diaz, Ashley Ramirez and Emily Fernandez were honored before the game and all had a key role in the 6-5 victory.

Fernandez came through with a clutch two-out, two-run triple in the second. Ramirez scored two runs and was 2-for-3 at the plate. Diaz had a four-hitter going until she allowed four runs in the seventh. She still picked up the win and had a single. Owen scored the game-winning run after reaching on an error.

"They did great," head coach Kelly Valmonte said. "That's what today was all about — for the seniors.” ...
