Runners set for State Meet

In a season full of big-time accomplishments and multiple record-breaking performances, the Madera South cross country boys and girls teams have to face one more challenge, perhaps the biggest of them all.

Fresh off winning section titles last Thursday, the Stallions’ path to glory has brought them to the CIF Cross Country State Championship Meet at Fresno’s Woodward Park where they will take on California’s elite teams Saturday.

The Madera South girls team along with Madera sophomore Jasmine Gonzalez will run in the Div. II race at 9:05 a.m. while the Stallion boys follow in the Div. I race at 9:40.
