No. 7 Madera hosts No. 10 Fresno in Div. III first round

After nearly six years of being out of the playoff circuit, the Madera Coyote football team returns to postseason action at home tonight against the Fresno High Warriors, a team that the Coyotes thumped on the road in their second game of the year, 60-0.

Madera (4-6, 1-4 CMAC) comes into the game following its first conference win in over five years, a 48-30 victory over rival Madera South. Fresno (2-8, 1-4 NYL) defeated a rival of their own, Roosevelt, by an even bigger margin at 44-9 and drubbed Madera South 31-6 earlier in the year.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Memorial Stadium.

Should Madera win, they will go on to face a Dinuba squad that they faced in their first game of the year, losing 42-26...
