For the second year in a row, Madera Coyote baseball pitcher Scott Roberts shut down the Madera South Stallions in the schools’ annual match-up Monday.
Roberts allowed three hits and a run while striking out six on 91 pitches (62 strikes) for the 3-1 victory at Eddie Chapa field.
Last year, Roberts held the Stallions to four hits in a 1-0 victory.
“This is definitely the funnest game of the year,” Roberts said. “I just do the best I can. We have a good start and have some momentum going into league.” ...
