Madera Coyote junior George Martin set two swimming records at the Central Section Div. I championship at Clovis North.

Martin’s two records helped the Coyotes place 14th overall.

“These boys put in a lot of hard work and lots of time in and out of the pool to reach their accomplishments,” coach Kevin Larrivee said.

Martin advanced to the finals of the 200 freestyle with a school record-breaking swim in the preliminaries. He finished with a time of 1:45.85 to beat the old record by almost a second...
