Rain plays havoc for sports teams

Mother Nature ran her course Wednesday, dropping more than a half an inch of rain on Madera.

Madera High, Madera South and Liberty postponed all of Wednesday’s outdoor sporting events.

Madera High’s baseball and softball games against San Joaquin MemorialFresno will be played today, weather permitting. The baseball team plays at Memorial while the softball team hosts the Panthers.

The Coyote track team was scheduled to run in a North Yosemite League/ County Metro Athletic Conference meet at Sunnyside in Fresno, but that meet has been rescheduled for April 24...
