Players and adult coaches are wanted for the Madera Parks and Community Services’ youth basketball leagues. Individual player registration of $50 ends Dec. 14 with the leagues scheduled to begin Jan. 18.

All games will be played Saturdays at the John W. Wells Youth Center, 701 E. Fifth Street. There will be three divisions with boys and girls combined: 3-4 grades, 5-6 grade and 7-8 grade.

Adult coaches for teams are asked to volunteer their time to help the youth of Madera learn basic basketball skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. Team jerseys will be furnished by the parks department. Coaches will be fingerprinted for background checks.

For information, contact sports coordinator Adam Romero, 661-5495.
