When the Madera South Stallions boys basketball team faced the Hoover-Fresno Patriots in a North Yosemite League rematch at Hoover, the Stallions hoped to have the same type of success they did the first time the two teams met.
However, the Patriots (6-0 NYL) shot lights out from long range and shut down the Stallions (19-4, 4-2 NYL) to give Madera South its worst loss of the season, cruising to a 75-47 victory Thursday night.
The Patriots made 14 3- pointers, including nine in the first half. Hoover scored 50 points in the first half while the Stallions outscored the Patriots 28-25 in the second half.
