The Thomas Jefferson Middle School eighth grade baseball team won the Kerman Easter Baseball Classic on Saturday after winning three straight games.

In the opener against Mendota, Anthony Marmolejo went three strong innings and allowed just one hit in a 10-0 victory. He picked off the only two runners that reached base against him.

The Patriots were led with big hits from Nick Zamora, Brady Hall and Adam Gomez. A base-hit by Jordan Wilkins knocked in the final run of a mercy-rule victory.

Later in the day, the Patriots faced Divisadero out of Visalia. Charles Gray pitched four strong innings, giving up two unearned runs and leaving with a 3-2 lead...
