Thomas Jefferson Middle School seventh grade pitcher A.J. Martinez tossed a perfect game Monday in a 10-0 victory over Rio Vista-Fresno.
Martinez struck out nine batters and did not allow a runner to reach base.
Alexis Carmona led the Patriots with a triple and two singles. Elyssa Varela hit a single and a triple in two trips to the plate and Makayla Ruiz hit a home run.
