In the Madera American Little League semi-final s , top-seeded Papa Murphy’s got off to a fast start and never looked back.
Facing the No. 4 seed VFW, Papa Murphy’s scored five runs in the first inning on the way to an 11-1 mercy-rule win Tuesday night on Mike Howe Field at Lions Town and Country Park as it advanced to the MALL championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Papa Murphy’s will face the No. 3 Madera Police, which eliminated defending MALL champion No. 2 Holiday Muffler, 5-3, in the earlier game.
