FRESNO — It has been a tough week to say the least for the Madera boys basketball team.
After suffering a 52-point loss at defending CIF Central Section champion Bullard-Fresno, the Coyotes had to travel to a San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno team that stood atop of the County/Metro Athletic Conference standings and featured 7-foot senior center Robert Upshaw, a Kansas State recruit.
Though Upshaw only scored four points in the first half, the Panthers (15-7, 6-0 CMAC) took a 35-11 lead at halftime and never looked back Thursday night in a 64- 27 win against the Coyotes (4-18, 0-6 CMAC) at San Joaquin Memorial High.
